We’re incredibly proud to announce that Lucas Danks, one of our talented HVAC apprentices, has been named Service and Maintenance Apprentice of the Year 2025 at the BESA Awards in London.
This prestigious national award recognises the dedication, technical skill, and positive attitude that Lucas brings to his work every day, qualities that make him an outstanding representative of both CMS and the HVAC industry as a whole.
“What an incredible honour it was on Thursday night to receive the Service and Maintenance Apprentice of the Year award — it’s honestly something I never imagined when I first started my apprenticeship,” said Lucas.
“First and foremost, I want to say a massive thank you to BESA Group for recognising apprentices and the hard work that goes into learning and developing in this industry. It means a lot to know that the next generation of engineers is being supported and celebrated in this way.
I also want to thank my employer, Commercial Maintenance Services UK Limited, and my mentors — the people who’ve taken the time to teach, challenge, and encourage me. The knowledge and experience I’ve gained from working alongside you has been invaluable. Every day on the job brings something new to learn, and I’m lucky to be surrounded by people who push me to be better.”
Lucas’s achievement reflects the success of CMS’s ongoing investment in apprenticeships and training across HVAC and building services. Through hands-on experience, mentorship, and continuous learning, our apprentices gain the skills needed to deliver excellence in every aspect of maintenance and engineering.
Congratulations, Lucas - an amazing effort, amazing recognition, and an incredible achievement!
Your hard work and enthusiasm continue to make CMS proud.
