Customer Profile
CMS has been working with a large Automotive Manufacturing Plant in the North East of England for over five years, carrying out reactive M&E maintenance cover.
With over 7,000 members of staff on site and a car built on average every two minutes since production started in 1986, the plant operates at a rapid pace everyday.
Requirements
With a vast amount of solid, liquid, and gaseous wastes that result from manufacturing processes, the plant depends on incinerators to safely dispose of the waste.
The Automotive Manufacturing Plant required CMS to replace a cracked and leaking incinerator heat exchanger that had become damaged.
Solution
CMS Removed the redundant incinerator heat exchanger, welded a new damper in position and replaced covers.
The qualified and experienced CMS engineers then removed the redundant pipework, covered the access hatches with insulation and relocated the support pillar for the cable tray.
This not only enabled the efficient use of the heat exchanger, but also ensured compliance and safety standards were maintained.
CMS successfully completed the project on time and within budget, ensuring compliance and safety standards were maintained.
