Customer Profile
CMS was contracted by an existing major client, a nationwide facilities management company, to update the heating system within a large combined office/warehouse facility for the Post Office.
Located in the North East the 1980’s building operates 7 days per week.
Requirements
The heating system had previously been served by two aged gas heating boilers, one of which had failed and was now unserviceable and obsolete.
Due to persistent issues with the remaining serviceable boiler CMS were approached and asked to quote to replace and up-grade both boilers with ‘minimal to no impact on the occupants of the property’.
Deadlines were extremely tight given the approach of winter.
Solution
The CMS projects team designed and specified an upgraded, highly efficient system for the clients building.
The project was delivered by CMS' team of highly skilled Gas Safe certified engineers and consisted of the complete strip out of the existing boilers, replacement with new units, the installation of a new gas header and flue as well as the reconfiguration and re-insulation of much of the existing pipework.
The main equipment installed was:
- BROAG Remera Heating Boilers
- Magna-clean filters
- Pressurisation unit
- Various valves; gas solenoid valve, isolation valves, RPZ valve, etc.
- Various heating circulation and booster pumps.
The project was completed for the client within budget and well ahead of schedule within 2 weeks, with the client delighted with the project delivery.
